Hebo Oregon

Comments: My husband has camped and fished at Hebo Lake for many years. I have recently been introduced to this lovely, peaceful small lake and campground. The fishing access around the lake is "senior/child" friendly, having been improved greatly in the past year. The fish are biting now, in June 2006. It is so much fun to watch small children pull in a fish, all excited and half-frightened of the fish flopping around on the dock. Take a short drive from the crowded tourist stops on the coast of Oregon and see a truly pristine spot, one of Tillamook County's sweet secrets. The road is well-maintained, the restrooms are clean and the scenery enroute and while you are there is spectactular. Then.....come and see the fishing village of Garibaldi, north on 101 in less than one hour. The port is a great place to entertain and educate the kids; It's a lovely walking place too.
