Fogarty Creek State Park |
Sheltered from the wind, this is a good place for sun-bathing. The park, 2 miles north of Depoe Bay, features extensive picnic areas east of Highway 101. A trail leads under the highway to a picture-perfect beach, complete with dramatic rock formations near shore to frame evening sunsets and spew sea spray skyward at high tide.
Fogarty Creek offers some of the best tidepooling and birdwatching on the coast.
Quality experiences await visitors to more than 200 state parks managed for the public by the Oregon State Parks.
