Fall Creek State Recreation Area is situated on Fall Creek Lake, 27 miles southwest of Eugene. The park features 42 primitive campsites, 5 walk-in sites, a reservable RV group camp, a two-lane boat ramp, and vault toilets. Fall Creek Lake, (Reservoir), is a prime recreation area surrounded by day-use parks and a campground.
Cascara campground, on the south shore near the point where Fall Creek enters the lake, is tucked away amid towering Douglas fir trees. The 47 primitive campsites are great for tent campers who remember that there are times when "roughing it" means just that. Every site comes equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. The campground has a swimming area, complete with a deck, and boat ramp. The campground is open May 1 to September 30.
If you want to get out on the reservoir, check out one of the five day-use areas. Open May 1 to September 30 and has flush toilets. There are four other day-use sites. Three offer primitive boat ramps. The North Shore site has a low-water ramp, vault toilets and is open year-round. The others are open May 1 to September 30.
