Devils Churn

Devils Churn, Oregon (Beaches) image The basalt that forms the shore here is penetrated by a split in the rock that narrows to a few feet before finally disappearing into the cliff.

Fascinating in the summer, it is awe-inspiring during winter storms.

Parking is provided on two levels with restroom facilities between them. It is usually possible to park an RV here without difficulty. Devils Churn is part of Cape Perpetua, a few miles south of Yachats.
