Delta AmphitheatreLessons in the Woods |
Located only an hour's drive east of Eugene of Highway 126 (the Mckenzie Highway) and Forest Service Road 19 (the Robert Aufderheide Memorial Drive), Delta Amphitheatre is in the heart of Delta campground. During the summer, the Willamette National Forest conducts a bi-weekly series of programs. Popular courses have included such subjects as bull trout recovery, a botanical walk along the 1/2-mile Delta Old-Growth Nature Trail, and a demonstration of obsidian toolmaking techniques.
The short path leading to the amphitheatre is fully accessible and plenty of spots are available for wheelchairs.
