Coquille Oregon

Coquille is the county seat of Coos County and a crossroads for travelers driving from Interstate 5 to the coast along Hwy 42. The town is also situated between Coos Bay and Myrtle Point, nestled along the banks of the Coquille River.

Coquille is also positioned on Hwy 42, 67 miles east of Roseburg.

Incorporated in 1885, Coquille (Ko-keel) has remained the county seat since 1896. The town offers a moderate climate, easy accessibility to the Coast (half an hour away), abundant fishing in the Coquille River, and an excellent hospital and emergency care facility. The Sawdust Theater is also a popular destination for many.
