The Oregon Scenic Byway consists of two segments totalling 45 miles between Troutdale and Dodson and from Mosier to The Dalles. The route's major themes are scenic beauty, history, and recreation. Spectacular scenery includes the river, high basalt cliffs, waterfalls, vegetation and historic structures such as the Multnomah Falls Lodge. Many state parks are found in the Gorge, including Crown Point State Scenic Corridor near the west end and Memaloose State Park near The Dalles.
