Nestled at the foot of Canyon Mountain, this friendly town offers nice surprises for the traveler and resident. Accessibility is easy with Interstate 5 passing directly through town.
1843 was the first record of wagon passage, making Canyonville the third oldest town in Oregon. It became an important supply station, serving miners, fur traders and early immigrants providing a resting place after passing over the mountains and through the "Dreaded Canyon" of the famous Applegate Trail.
