In the Willamette National Forest, Detroit Ranger District. Situated in the Northeast corner of Linn County. How to get there: From Detroit Ranger Station travel East on Hwy 22 for approximately 19 miles to forest road 2234 (Bugaboo road), turn right onto 2234, travel about 6 miles, trailhead is on your left at start of road 255. Hike up road past gate about 200 yards and trail veers off to right.
Bruno Meadows offers a diverse trail system with a variety of habitats from conifer forest to wet meadow environments.
Birders have spotted many of the typical Cascades forest bird species on these trails, including; Fox Sparrow, Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Townsend's Solitaire, Hairy Woodpecker, Pileated Woodpecker, Dusky Flycatcher, Hammond's Flycatcher, Hermit Warbler and Red Crossbill. Hikers will also enjoy wildflower displays and butterflies in season.
