See a variety of songbirds at Yaquina Bay State Park. There is a trail from the park to the beach and access to the north jetty.
Also, check out the bayfront road to Toledo for good birding. Go at least as far as Salley's Bend. Many ducks and bandt's can be seen here. At low tides numerous shorebirds and bald eagles are often seen at the mudflats. Near Toledo look for green heron.
Accross the bay, the Hatfield Marine Science Center has a fine collection of mounted bird specimens here. Ask about recent bird sightings.
