Angels Rest & Benson State Park

On the Mt. Hood Loop Trail, part of the Oregon Cascades Birding Trail. This area is located just one mile west of Multnomah Falls in Interstate 84 (eastbound access only), exit 28, (Bridal Veil), Angels Rest & Benson State Recreation Area features a picnic area and disc golf course. There is also a reservable group shelter. Activities at this park include fishing, swimming, birding and boating.

The Angels Rest Trail head is near the exit. Angels Rest is a steep and difficult climb through the forest to two rock promontories with Columbia River vistas. Birds seen at Angels Rest include; Gray Jay, Turkey Vulture, Ruffed and Blue Grouse.

Benson SP with its lake offers lowland birding opportunities. Visitors might see Wood Duck, Warbling and Red-Eyed Viero and Bullocks Oriole.
