Bandon Historical Society Museum

Also known as 'Bandon's Coquille River Museum'

This is just one of the many Historical Museums located throughout Oregon.

Bandon's Historical Society operates this museum that was founded in 1976. This facility has over 4000 sq.ft. of artifacts and exhibit area. Also displayed are over 1500 historic photos with captions of Bandon's past.

Collections are: Local Native Americans artifacts, Bandon's pioneer days, exhibits displaying mining, dairy farming, cheese making, cranberry harvesting, logging, and fishing. A military section honors veterans. The Maritime room displays shipbuilding, river & sailing vessels, tug boats, shipwrecks and explains how important local waterways were to Bandon's past.

Photos and memorabilia on both Bandon's fires in 1914, 1936 and much, much more.

An onsite gift shop offers items reflecting local history. Small or large tour groups are always welcome. Open year-round.

This is a non-profit facility. Memberships are available.
