Aumsville Oregon

Home of the Corn Festival

Aumsville is located in Marion County approximately eight miles east of Salem, between Turner and Sublimity off of Interstate 5. This community is also situated just east of the Willamette River, in the Willamette Valley, offering the possibility of a trip to the coast or the mountain ranges less than two hours away.

Henry L. Turner, his son and son-in-law, Amos M. Davis, built a flour mill here in 1863-64, originally named Turner's Place. Turner, thereafter, called the place Aumsville to commemorate the name of Amos. Aumsville became an incorporated city in 1911.

Aumsville is part of the Salem, Oregon metro area.

Aumsville's economy is supported mainly by Government, agriculture, food processing, electronics manufacturing and fabricated metal products.
