Open Memorial Day to Labor Day, Archie Knowles Campground is located 4 miles east of Mapleton on Highway 126. There are 9 individual sites, which can accommodate tents or RVs of 40 feet or less. The campground is adjacent to Knowles Creek for wading. Special fishing regulations apply. The location is warm in summer, with no coastal fog.
The campground is under the administration of Mapleton Ranger District.
