Tupper Lake New York

Tupper Lake, which began as a lumber and sawmill village in the 1890s, is a resort in the Adirondacks. It is now part of the the Tri-Lakes Area consisting of Lake Placid and Saranac and Tupper Lakes in the Northern Region of the state. As the logging industry diminished, the town shifted its commercial interests to its other natural resources.

Fishing, swimming and boating opportunities abound at Big Tupper Lake. Lake Simond, Racquette River and Raquette Pond, are easily reached from Tupper Lake.

Tupper Lake is located in Franklin County on Hwy 3.
