Taconic Mountains |
The Taconic Mountains, which lie along the eastern border of the state to the east of the Hudson, reach elevations above 2,000 feet. South of the Taconics the Manhattan Hills include most of Westchester County and Manhattan Island. The Taconics are among the oldest mountains in North America and extend 150 miles.
