Roosevelt Island |
Roosevelt Island, a 147 acre dot of land located in New York City's East River, in the borough of Manhattan, is managed by the Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation, by mandate of the State of New York. The island has, 8,000 residents, six historic landmarks, several spacious parks, and sports facilities, an aerial tramway, numerous playgrounds, a waterfront promenade, and unparallel views of Manhattan.
