Since 1986, the Prejean family has been producers of award winning estate grown Merlot, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Marechal Foch, Cayuga White and Vignoles wines. The winery, surrounded by 38 acres of vineyards, overlooks beautiful Seneca Lake, the deepest of the Finger Lakes. The depth is significant because the lake remains a fairly constant temperature, the consequence of which is that the lake doesn't freeze. This gives the Prejean vineyards an earlier spring, a later fall and riper grapes. The Prejean Winery is open for tours and tastings year-round, with occasional special events.
