Elmira Psychiatric Center |
The Elmira Psychiatric Center provides a wide array of Adult and Children's Psychiatric Services, both inpatient and community centered, with the services determined by the needs of the diverse rural counties they serve. They include a 60 bed Adult, 20 bed Geriatric and 18 bed Child/Adolescent Inpatient Units. Admission to the inpatient level of treatment is normally by transfer from an acute care hospital or through the County Mental Health Director(s). The largest part of their services are rendered to 245 children and 800 Adults in community programs including Day Treatment, clinics, Case Management, Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation, 2 Community Residential Services, 100 Family Care Homes and 3 Social Clubs.
