Northern Dutchess Hospital

Northern Dutchess Hospital (NDH), a not-for profit, community hospital, governed by a voluntary board of trustees, was incorporated in 1923 in the village of Rhinebeck on the northwestern edge of Dutchess County, in the mid-Hudson Valley of New York State. The hospital serves a region of small towns and villages extending east to the Taconic Parkway and north into the southwestern sections of Columbia County.

NDH has 68 beds: 40 are Medical/Surgical, 10 are Rehab, 11 are Obstetric and 7 are Intensive Care. The Hospital offers primary care and a range of medical surgical, obstetrical, gynecological and pediatric services as well as comprehensive outpatient, emergency and community-based services. The current medical/dental staff totals 116 practitioners offering health care services in approximately 30 specialty areas: pediatrics; obstetrics and gynecology; internal medicine; family practice; ophthalmology; orthopedics; surgery; emergency medicine; anesthesia/pain management.
