Lewis New York

Lewis is located in Essex County in the Northern Region of the state.

It was named for Gov. Morgan Lewis and well-known residents have included: Inez Milholland Boissevain, feminist who led a suffrage parade in Washington while wearing a white Cossack rode and riding a white horse.
