Falconer is located in Chautauqua County on the eastern outskirts of Jamestown along Highway 394 off highway 17 on the banks of the Cassadaga River near the Pennsylvania state line. Falconer is part of the Jamestown, New York metro area in the Western Region of the state.
It was named after William Falconer, landowner.
