Cathedral of St John the Divine

The world's largest cathedral, since its first stone was laid in 1892, St. John's has been witness of the Gospel in New York City, the Episcopal Church, and the world. Today, the Cathedral is a leading voice in the exploration of sacred arts and liturgy. St John's runs the length of two football fields and stands 17 stories. The Biblical Garden contains dozens of plants cited in Scripture; the Peace Fountain was designed by Greg Wyatt.
