Brewerton is located in Oswego County 10 miles N of Syracuse between Central Square and Cicero along Highway 11 off I81 near Oneida Lake. It is in the Western Region of the state. Brewerton is part of the Syracuse, New York metro area.
Brewerton was named after Fort Breweton, established by the British in 1759.
