American Museum of Firefighting

At Firemen's Home, a history of firemen is the focus. The museum houses engines and equipment dating from 1725 to the present. Fire apparatus dating from 1731 to 1900 is on display including models, helmets, speaking trumpets, badges and banners. Oil paintings and lithographs are in the Art Gallery. Horse drawn, steam and early motor truck eras from 1870 to 1939. Uniforms, breathing apparatus and fire service certificates.
