Ranchos de Taos is the county seat of Taos County, and in the North Central New Mexico region. Located in the center of the Pueblo de Taos Indian Reservation withint the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The city is located northeast of Santa Fe at the junctions of Highway 64 and 522.
