Coronado State Monument Park

The Coronado State Monument Park has visitors sights of the ruins of the Pueblo of Kuaua, museum and gallery with kiva paintings. There is a self-guided trail, river walk and overlook of the Rio Grande. Overnight camping available. One mile northwest of Bernalillo on NM 44 off I-25.

It also has a nature trial along the edge of the Rio Grande. In the summer of 2006 the Coronado State Monument hosts demonstrations _Tues, Wed, Thurs of each week_ of the making of an authentic carretta and have planted four cobble gardens based on prehistoric plans.
