The Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science is the University of Miami's graduate school of marine and atmospheric science. Located on a 16-acre campus on Virginia Key in Miami, it is the only subtropical applied and basic marine and atmospheric research institute of its kind in the continental United States. It conducts a broad range of research on local, regional, national and global levels. Graduate degree programs leading to the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees are offered with majors in marine biology and fisheries, marine geology and geophysics, meteorology and physical oceanography, marine and atmospheric chemistry, and applied marine physics.
