St Lucie County Historical Museum |
This museum houses historic exhibits and displays that include such items as circa 1715 Spanish shipwreck treasures, uniforms and artifacts from the 1837 Old Fort Pierce, a Seminole Indian encampment, a restored circa 1907 Florida home, an operational 1919 American La France fire engine pumper, a Memorial Garden highlighted by Spanish cannons and anchors, and the Harry Hill photograph collection (1880s-1920s).
Changing exhibits are scheduled throughout the year, and a small research library is open by prior appointment. Group rates, tours available. The museum is open Tuesday-Sunday, closed Mondays and holidays. Located at the east end of the South Beach Bridge.
