Samuel P Harn Museum of Art |
One of the largest university art museums in the southeastern United States, the Harn Museum houses a diverse permanent collection of more than 6,000 original works of art and cultural objects in a variety of mediums from the Americas, Asia, Africa and Europe; exhibits include American paintings, contemporary art, and art from West Africa. Changing exhibitions, lectures and films are also offered; call for current schedule.
Located on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville. Admission to the Harn Museum is free to the public; closed Mondays and state holidays.
