Comments: A recent spring break vacation for my small children was a disaster. We booked a suite at the Marco Island Hilton for 3 nights. I hope that writing this letter helps the management fix their problems so that others do not have to go through what we did. After spending a couple of hours in the room my whole family became sick. We all had coughs, sore throats, burning eyes and headaches. I woke up at 1:00 AM and had to drive 1.5 hours home to pick up some medicine. The next morning I drove another 1.5 hours back to the Hilton. After losing a nights sleep and changing rooms, we all began coughing in the second room. The hotel manager told me that there was nothing wrong with the room. I do not know if it was mold, cleaning chemicals or something else but that hotel is sick. I find it funny that another employee indicated that he was aware of others who had the same problem. We cut our 4 day vacation down to 1 night and left. We travel a lot and this was the worst nightmare we have ever experienced. Hotel management did not credit us for the worst $409 night ever spent in a hotel by any of us.
