Marathon Florida

Marathon is located in Monroe County west of Islamorada between Key Colony Beach and Key West along US Highway 1 near the Gulf of Mexico. Situated in the middle of the Florida Keys region.

There is also a Marathon, Texas.

Often called "Heart of the Florida Keys", Marathon offers the conveniences of a modern community; a 58-bed hospital, shopping plazas and the only commercial airport between Key West and the Florida mainland, while still retaining the its historical roots as a beautiful, 19th century village.

Just south of Marathon, the new Seven Mile Bridge, which extends parallel to its venerable forerunner, is the longest segmental bridge in the world.

The shops and galleries at Treasure Village and the Rain Barrel on Plantation Key offer a colorful collection of arts, crafts, and other creative island treasures.
