Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

Part of the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. The historic US space program is explored through multimedia displays and exhibits; highlights include a moon rock, actual spacecraft and the Rocket Garden, where space equipment traces the program's development.

Guests to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will now have the opportunity to meet our nation's astronauts face-to-face, every day of the year. This innovative program consists of question-and-answer sessions, mission briefings, video footage, space artifacts and personal stories of space travel as told by the men and women who lived it. Appearances are scheduled featuring Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Shuttle astronauts; call for current schedule.

Two IMAX theaters with 5 1/2-story screens present footage taken by astronauts in space and other films. The Center is open daily until dusk; closed Christmas Day and for certain periods on launch days. Located 11 miles east of I95 on Hwy 405.
