John D MacArthur Beach State Park |
Sandwiched between the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Worth, the park features nature trails and a A 1,600-foot boardwalk spans Lake Worth Cove.
Free tram service from the parking lot to the beach front is available daily, 10am-4pm.
Swimming, fishing and picnic sites are also available.
MacArthur Beach is also a prime nesting area for sea turtles. Large numbers of loggerhead, green and leatherback turtles nest in the park from early May through late August. Florida state parks are open from 8 a.m. until sundown 365 days a year.
