Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park |
This state wildlife park is a showcase for Florida's wildlife and offers visitors an opportunity to observe native animals, birds, and plants in their natural setting. Educational programs are offered daily on West Indian manatees, alligators, crocodiles, Florida snakes and other wildlife. The park serves as a rehabilitation center and refuge for endangered West Indian Manatees that have been orphaned or injured in the wild, as well as those born in captivity. Nature trails and boat tours are also available to visitors, and a concession stand and visitor center are open on the grounds. The park is open daily from 9am-5:30pm.
