Historic Spanish Point |
A 30-acre archaeological, historic and environmental site on Little Sarasota Bay that features the remains of a prehistoric living site, a pioneer family homestead and the restored gardens from an early 20th-century estate.
A nature trail now leads visitors along the bay past a burial mound, a packing house, a restored pioneer home, formal gardens and a trellised arbor. Community and educational programs are hosted at the site, and meeting room and wedding facilities can be rented by the public. Guided group tours are available; picnicking is permitted. Online discounts offered. Open Monday-Sunday; closed major holidays.
