Fort Lauderdale Historical Museum

The museum is housed in the city's first hotel, on the scenic banks of the New River; displays include local artifacts that relate South Florida history from the Seminole Wars period to the present. Special changing exhibitions are scheduled throughout the year.

The Museum includes the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society library and archives which include an extensive collection of documents, publications and photographs. Open Tuesday-Friday, closed major holidays.
