FPL's Energy Encounter

Located at the St Lucie nuclear plant (Gate B). Offers interactive displays and exhibits pertaining to the history of energy production. Highlights include an energy treasure hunt, computer games and a transparent nuclear reactor model. Energy-related videotaped programs are shown in the auditorium. Also at the site is a self-guided nature trail that winds through 3 habitats of a coastal barrier island. Energy Encounter and nature trails are open Monday-Friday and Sunday, 10am-4pm; closed holidays. Free to the public.
