Florida's Silver Springs

Reputedly the world's largest formation of clear artesian springs. One major outlet, 65-ft long and 12-ft high, and more than a dozen minor springs and outlets form the crystalline Silver River; part of the inland waterway that links the springs to the St Johns River and Jacksonville. A glass-bottom boat cruise and a Jeep safari are available; other features include World of Bears, Panther Prowl, Big Gator Lagoon, Lost River Voyage and live animal shows. Pet kennels available, picnicking allowed in the parking lot only. Open daily, 9am-5:30pm; last admission 1 hour before closing.
