Florida Museum of Natural History

Located in the Powell Hall Education & Exhibition Center, at the Cultural Plaza near the corner of SW 34th Street and Hull Road, on the University of Florida campus. The Museum presents changing exhibitions of nature-related subjects as well as educational programs, children's classes and school tours. A new Butterfly Center is currently under construction; upon completion, the facility will be devoted to one of the world's largest and most extensive Lepidoptera collections, featuring an exhibit of live butterflies. The museum is closed Thanksgiving & Christmas Days; admission is free.
