Delray Beach

Delray Beach has a municipal beach which is at the intersection of A1A and Atlantic Ave. The beach stretches 1.5 miles, and there is a sidewalk along the back side of the beach, for pedestrians only. This is a great family beach with lifeguards and Emergency Medical Technicians on hand, restrooms and restaurants directly across the street.
The water is shallow for a while, which makes it a great place for swimming, and the boat ramp and storage facilities also make this a good place to sail, surf or windsurf.
