This independent Roman Catholic instituion occupies a 122-acre campus in a suburan area 7 miles north of downtown Miami. About two thirds of the undergraduates are from Florida. They reflect considerable diversity in both ethnicity and religion. Less than a third of the students live on campus. A limited interscholastic sports program is provided. Popular majors include nursing and education.
