Will Rogers State Historic Park

Will Rogers made his home on this site during the 1920s and 30's. 186 acres, which include the Rogers ranch house, stables and polo field. Rogers bought land next to the beach that bears his name today: Will Rogers State Beach, Hiking trails behind the stables lead into the adjacent Topanga State Park. Before Sunset Boulevard reaches the ocean you can find the home of one of America's most loved humorists, Will Rogers. In what is now the town of Pacific Palisades, Rogers built his ranch, where he lived with his wife Beatty and their three kids. The 31-room ranch house, is surrounded by a stable, corrals, riding ring, roping arena, golf course, polo field and hiking trails that give visitors spectacular views of the ranch and the surrounding country-side (186 acres). Beyond the ranch and the stables are the trails that lead to spectacular views of the countryside around the park, and vistas of both the sea and the mountains. The park truly has something for everyone.
