Western Hotel and Museum

The Western Hotel has been a vital part of local culture since the beginning of Lancaster, California history. It housed land speculators and weary travelers; and through the years it held numerous parties, church socials, quilting bees, saloon fights, card parties, club, and business meetings. The hotel has been plagued by fires, drought, and floods.

The museum offers free tours of the late 1800's hotel. Exhibits include household items, clothing, furniture, quilts and old photographs. A small display depicts the history of Native Americans and reflects local geology.

The museum is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the afternoon. The museum is closed holidays. Admission is free and donations are accepted.
