Wells Fargo Bank

In the 1880s, this was the site of the Centennial Market. By the time of WWI, it was being used as a garage and Studebaker agency. Legend has it that owner A.B. Snyder was excavating for an underground gasoline tank when he came across a ledge of gold quartz. Several tons of quartz gold were removed and Snyder later sold the rights to the "Garage Vein" to the Golden Center Mining Company.
