Founded in 1880, the main campus of the University of Southern California is located at Exposition Blvd and South Figueroa. Widney Alumni House is the second oldest school structure in California. The "Trojan" theme appears frequently. There is a bronze Trojan warrior in front of the administration building and a 400 pound boulder quarried more than 3000 years ago from near the ancient city of Troy in Asia Minor is displayed in Founders Park.
The School of Cinema-Television was started in 1929 and was the first of its kind. Many films have used the campus setting with is many Romanesque buildings.
