In 1929, the UCLA campus was relocated to its current site on 419 acres in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains. The university comprises a number of complexes and enrolls 34,000 students annually.
Major points of interest to visitors include the UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture (310-825-2278), Edwin W. Pauley Pavilion (310-825-2101), Franklin D. Murphy Sculpture Garden, and the Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden. The sculpture garden is open daily, 24 hours, and is free. The botanical garden is closed after regular hours and on university holidays.
