Taylor Planetarium & Observatory

The startling clear skies of Lake County provide astronomical enthusiasts nearly unparalleled star gazing opportunities.

Located in Kelseyville, Taylor Observatory was constructed by the Lake County Office of Education for local schools and the enjoyment of visitors.

Viewing hours vary. A small fee for adults and children is charged and the programs are considered unsuitable for those under the age of six.

The Planetarium offers visitors to look through 12 1/2-inch reflector telescopes. Lectures and slide programs are conducted for groups up to 34 people.
