Soledad California

Soledad is one of the fastest growing communities in Monterey County. Soledad is the definition of community pride. Neighbors and community members put one another first in this low-crime community.

Officially the thirteenth of the Spanish Missions, Mission Nuestra Senora de la Soledad, located west of the city was founded in 1791, making Soledad history one of the longest in the west. The city was officially incorporated on March 9, 1921 and named after the Mission Nuestra Senora de la Soledad. Soledad meaning "solitude."

Soledad is located in Monterey County south of Salinas between Salinas and King City along US Highway 101 on the banks of the Salinas River near the Los Padres National Forest and the Pacific Ocean.

Soledad is part of the Salinas, California metro area.
