Six Flags Magic Mountain |
This 260-acre entertainment complex features more than 100 rides, shows, and attractions. Highlights include Tidal Wave, plunging over a 50-foot waterfall; Ninja, a coaster suspended from an overhead track; Freefall, giving the sensation of a leap from a 10-story building; Viper, a coaster with an initial drop of almost 200 feet; and Psyclone, a wooden roller coaster; and the 384-foot Sky Tower.
Theme areas include Gotham City Back lot, based on the movie Batman, and High Sierra Territory.
The theme park is open daily from early April to late October. The rest of the year, it opens on weekends and most school holidays. The park is closed Christmas.
Take the Magic Mountain Parkway exit of Interstate 5, just northwest of Los Angeles.
